“Winter Visitors” Series of ACEOs is inspired by the tiny friends who come to visit my feeder when it gets cold outside. Each ACEO (Artist Collector Edition Original) is 2.5”x3.5” and is painted on high-quality watercolor paper using alcohol marker and acrylic and is signed by the artist on the back (that’s me!), including the title and number in the series. Goldfinches (8/9) molt and get a subtler gold for the colder months, a quieter hue for the gray winter skies. I loved getting to paint this version of him; not bright and cheery, but still a pop of sunshine against the cooler colors.
