“Winter Visitors” Series of ACEOs is inspired by the tiny friends who come to visit my feeder when it gets cold outside. Each ACEO (Artist Collector Edition Original) is 2.5”x3.5” and is painted on high-quality watercolor paper using alcohol marker and acrylic and is signed by the artist on the back (that’s me!), including the title and number in the series. The House Finch (7/9) was my absolute favorite to paint, because of how his red feathers seem to tuck away into his soft brown and white dapples on his chest, but are bold and a fun shock on his head. I had so much fun layering colors to capture his beauty.
